Humans made gods fit their needs in the same way they bred dogs to fulfill different jobs. Funny that humans tend to feel a need to try and turn fantasy into reality. The original dog just wasn't good enough (especially with the rise of dog shows in the 1800s) and so the pantheon of dog breeds was established. Here are some of my numerous web articles about specific dog breeds, including designer breeds. By the way, my favorite dog breed is a mongrel.
Many of these articles first appeared on now-dead websites Helium, Suite 101 or Yahoo! Contributor Network. Sadly, many of these also appear on scraper sites.
